  Here are the line-ups:
  
  England: 1 Alastair Cook (capt), 2 Sam Robson, 3 Gary Ballance, 4 Ian Bell, 5 Joe Root, 6 Moeen Ali, 7 Matt Prior (wkt), 8 Chris Jordan, 9 Stuart Broad, 10 Liam Plunkett, 11 James Anderson.
  
  Sri Lanka: 1 Kaushal Silva, 2 Dimuth Karunaratne, 3 Kumar Sangakkara, 4 Mahela Jayawardene, 5 Lahiru Thirimanne, 6 Angelo Mathews (capt), 7 Prasanna Jayawardene (wkt), 8 Nuwan Kulasekara, 9 Dhammika Prasad, 10 Rangana Herath, 11 Shaminda Eranga.
  
  First caps for Sam Robson, Chris Jordan and Moeen Ali, and Gary Ballance will get a chance to show what he can do batting at 3. Here's hoping it goes better than the winter did.
  
  Sri Lanka won the toss and will have a bowl. Play get's underway at Lords at 11:00.

  Sam Robson caught by Jayawardene for just one run. Not the greatest of test debuts, that.
  
  Ballance is at the crease with Cook now, England 18-1.

  And Cook's gone for 17, bowled by Kulasekara.
  
  England currently 33-2. Not getting much better, is it?

  One more wicket before lunch, Ballance caught by Jayawardene on 23.
  
  England will resume on 98-3 (Bell 41 & Root 6).

  good couple of days for England after a shaky start - but the pitch looks a bit flat so Sri Lanka are filling their boots . got Geoff "bloody" Boycott on the radio moaning about the "good old days" again - droning on and on makes me want to put my foot thru the radio at times (well all the time!)
