It was all a bit of an anti-climax in the end. The title race, the relegation places; all done and dusted well before yesterday's season finale.
The battle for the last couple of Champions League spots kept the interest going but even the outcome of that wasn't ideal. Man City never really looked to be in any danger, but it would have been far better for everyone if Arsenal had snuck in at Liverpool's expense, guaranteeing supporters of the former at least another year of a manager they hate as well as the wondrous spectacle of full-on meltdowns from the Scouse massive. The only way this season can be considered a success now is if Man Utd lose to Ajax in the Europa League final on Wednesday and end up back in that competition again next year.
Despite all that, the combination of slowed down footage and uplifting music in the following clip somehow makes the whole thing seem like it was a genuinely transformative event. Well in, Sky!
And here's a bit more of the Chelsea celebrations...
