After her supporting appearance in Hawkeye, we now have the first trailer for the show where Echo will be in the lead role. The plot appears to revolve around her conflicted relationship with Wilson Fisk. Rather than the traditional weekly release format of previous MCU Disney+ shows, this will have a binge release of all it's episodes when it debuts in January. It will also be the first MCU film or TV show released under Fiege's stewardship with a 15, instead of a 12A rating.

This looks like it's going to be on the same level of brutality as Daredevil and Punisher were on Netflix, and I love it. Alaqua Cox was really good in Hawkeye and it's good to see that her character will be given more time to develop in this series. D'Onforio as Wilson Fisk is easily one of the best casting choices ever in any comic book film or TV show.

    Episode one
History takes us into this world and establishes it's core. The sins of the father has repercussions on the people he loves. You can try to follow the path of God but the Devil will always find you. A battle for the crown commences.

    Episode two
Are games just metaphors for wars? Visiting a different location and encountering different cultures is a respectful process. Going tit-for-tat isn't easy, and a leap of faith must be taken. When unexpected news is heard, everyone doesn't react in the same way.

    Episode three
You can't let society determine your path in life, if you want do do something you feel is right then you need to forge your own path. Doing morally questionable things solely for money is never the right thing to do. Bonds that were broken need to be re-forged. Ghosts from the past return in the present.

    Episode four
Past generations shape and influence the people we are, and who we become.

    Episode five
You have to face the things you fear the most, eventually.

Overall this was a decent entry into the MCU that that gave a deeper insight to a new character and new culture. Cox is great in the role and it's brilliant to see D'Onofrio back as Fisk. The action sequences were shot beautifully and with the new Marvel Spotlight section of the MCU, it allows them to go harder, and embrace what was built on the Marvel Netflix shows. The post credit scen only heightened my anticipation for Daredevil: Born Again, and any future projects with Maya Lopez, Jessica Jones, Frank Castle, Luke Cage and Danny Rand.
