A dude has been arrested after he offered an undercover police officer a burger in exchange for sex. Must’ve been a bloody good burger! 36-year-old Dominic Calderon, was arrested in Albuquerque during an undercover street operation. Apparently Dominic, who was already a registered sex offender on probation at the time, approached the undercover officer, who was posing as a sex worker, on his bike and asked how much she would charge for a shag.
He was talking about prices and revealed that he was a bit skint and that he wouldn’t be able to pay her until the following Friday when he got paid. He then asked for the woman’s phone number so he could call her when he’d been paid. The copper then spotted Dominic’s takeaway food box Chili’s and asked him what was in it. When he said it was a burger the copper suggesting using that as payment instead of cash.
Obviously he jumped at the chance because who wouldn’t give up an £8 burger in exchange for sex?! However, taking up the offer landed Dominic in a bit of hot water and he was arrested immediately. Dominic was charged with patronising a sex worker, which carries a maximum penalty of six months in jail and a $500 fine. The Chili’s burger was also seized by police and used as evidence. What a waste of a good burger.
I legit feel kinda sorry for this guy. I’m pretty sure any guy would swap a burger for a blowy. Sadly for Dominic, It’s illegal in the state of New Mexico to engage or offer to engage in a sexual act for money. It is also illegal to patronise a sex worker by knowingly hiring or offering to hire a sex worker, as well as to promote sex work. Sounds a bit strict really doesn’t it. If a consenting woman want’s to sell it and a consenting guy wants to buy it I don’t see the issue.
