Anyone who's ever been a student can relate.  You've spent the months you had to work on that big assignment getting pissed and now, with the deadline looming, you need to get creative.

Can only imagine that's what's gone down here.

This footage of a supposedly driverless car out on the streets of Arlington, Virginia was initially hailed as a major breakthrough in autonomous technology.

But on closer inspection...

Virginia Tech, the university responsible for the 'research', claim that the guy in the car was merely gathering data about the reaction of normal drivers to sharing road space with a self-driving car.

“The driver’s seating area is configured to make the driver less visible within the vehicle, while still allowing him or her the ability to safely monitor and respond to surroundings.”

Ok lads!
