  wait the actors don't act in Dredd 3D? so they're just walking around talking about what they're gonna have for lunch, if the costumes are itchy or what they got upto the night before?

  they probably show more character/emotion talking about lunch and costumes than they do in that trailer

  there's acting deliberately emotionless for effect and then there's being stale. agree to disagree. anyone seen total recall? worth watching?

  Fair point and I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, I'm just saying its maybe a little early to say the actings shit when all we really have are fairly short primarily action focused trailers to go on

  yea just saying from the trailer, obv haven't seen the movie. but after soo many years watching trailers/movies can usually tell if they're gonna be crap or not, am not much surprised by things anymore these days. have you seen total recall? i don't like collin farrel, but i think the movie itself might be good for action...

  fair enough, i'm still probably going to end up watching it though and just view it as a pure action film like the old stallone/arnie films you know the kind when all you want are cool explosions, in this case good special effects and not get too woried over how good the acting is or isn't. not seen the new total recall, but it's on my "to watch" list. i'm a little unsure though as while it looks good i really liked the original and it seems like they've changed quite a few bits (most noticeably i've seen no mention of mars) but i'll give it a watch.

  Finally saw this on thursday (way behind i know, but that`s not really important lol) and i liked it, it`s a good film. Not a deep film by any means but the action is good, the two leads are likable (even Dredd who as a character isn`t exactly the talkative type, and has to be said as a plus point the girl who plays the rookie is hot) and the story is simple but good enough.
  It`s very much an old school style action film, not one where they toned it down for a lower rating and that actually makes a change, shame it`s unlikely to get a sequel (although apparently it has sold well on DVD/Blu-Ray).

  Saw this film quite a while after it released with my son (his mum and GF went to see some chick flick or other so a result) . I have to say that i really enjoyed the movie and thought the action was very well paced . The feeling of being trapped was very well maintained and this time Dredd was much more believable . All in all I think this was pretty true to the original comic dark , violent and at times quite funny .
