For all the big budget, supposed blockbusters that have disapointed of late, it's so great when a film seemingly comes outta nowhere, with an incredibly simplistic plot, presumed tiny budget that has you hooked. 'Downrange' turned out to be one such film. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think? Starring a seeming unknown cast, shot in basically 1 location may sound pretty naff. That said this is a gory horror thriller directed by
Ryuhei Kitamura
. Might nopt recognise the guys name..however he also directed the Luke Evans starring 'No one Lives'..which was bloody fantastic in my opinion. The plot : Group of car sharing college age kids travelling through a conveniently uninhabited part of america wind up getting literally stopped in their tracks..by a hidden sniper. Tense, great performances and at points very, gory. Personally i really enjoyed this one.
