As much as I love a true crime documentary I’ve been reluctant to watch Don’t F*ck With Cats due to its detailed description on animal torture but I’ve heard it’s the must-see documentary of the year so maybe I should overcome my fear.
For those who have watched it you’ll know that twisted killer Luka Magnotta was found guilty of the murder of Jun Lin and ended up behind bars, but it turns out that the Canadian prison system is a lot more cushy than the rest of the world. Magnotta was sentenced to life in prison but it’s been revealed that he can actually appeal for parole in 2039. So technically this sicko could be our roaming the streets and murdering more people in just 19 years! If that wasn’t ridiculous enough, he’s also got himself a lovely little setup in the clink, with a new partner, fan letters and more free time than he knows what to do with. Here’s a few quotes from Magnotta about his experience in prison:
Quote:Our doors are open 90% of the time so for me I feel like I’m in a university setting.
I just bought Celine Dion’s album and a lot of others.
I have a stereo and a portable for when I suntan outside.
I regularly play tennis and hockey and am often sent chocolate by admirers, especially on Valentine’s Day.
In fact, the amount of chocolate in the facility is ruining my diet
Jesus. Makes your blood boil doesn’t it?! Sounds like this absolute psychopath is living better than half the people I know. Recently Magnotta was even allowed to marry fellow inmate, Anthony Jolin, who is also serving life for murder after he stabbed another convict to death. The pair met on a dating site specifically set up for Canadian inmates which is yet another reason why the Canadian prison system is utterly laughable.
Now that the pair are married they are entitled to 2-day long ‘trailer visits’ where they get to spend some alone time together, which basically means sucking each other off and sharing stories of their murderous pasts. Nice!
