It does exactly what you think it was going to do, which is be violent, full of swearing and full of humour. What it also does and what I think isn't talked about enough in these films is that it brings the emotion too. The scenes with Reynolds and Baccarin are the heart of this franchise, and the addition of Jackman adds another dramatic layer. I won't spoil any of the cameos but there are loads and they all work in very different ways. Levy does what Miller and Leitch did before him in terms of the action scenes, and the creative use of bullets, blades and bare knuckles to take down anyone that gets in the way of out titular heroes. The performances of the antagonists are really good. The needledrops all work too. This really is a tongue in cheek love letter to the past 25 years of the 20th Century Fox era of Marvel films and perfectly sets up what Disney has in place for the end of the MCU's Multiverse Saga with Avengers Secret Wars and the start of the Mutant Saga which will probably end with Avengers vs X-Men.
