Come on now goons, if the British players were good enough they too would be being bought for huge fees. Look at Bale for example. It's just that the majority of British players aren't good enough for the top sides.
Oh and I bloody well hope Welbeck doesn't go to Arsenal but it's reported to be a loan fee of £6m which could have got them one Radamel Falcao...
Just seen that no deal agreed and no medical yet. Arsenal apparently want a permanent deal and we want a loan. I really don't understand why we'd strengthen a rival for 4th.
Sounding very much like Welbeck is forcing his way out and is desperate for Arsenal. For a local lad this is quite odd. -

its not they are top sides its the money whats made them good,just look at our 89 title winning side most were english,which is the country i live in and want the national team to do well for once which most fans dont give a shit about, they just want the same foreigners who play for their club walk allover us.if you take the best 11 foreign players in the premiership and played a match against our best 11 they would walk allover us,fuck its just not right

Sky say United and Arsenal are close to agreeing a deal for Welbeck - permanent, not a loan. Urgh.
BBC say deal agreed for Welbeck, £16m. Terrible decision. He'll be excellent for Arsenal as they'll actually play him as a striker. And to sell so easily after they messed us around with Vermaelen? Urgh. We're so shit at selling players. -

Welbeck is easily worth £20m if players like Borini recieve bids of £14m and players like Lallana & Carroll go for £26m & £35m. And considering it's a rival we should be adding £5m to that. Arsenal have got a bargain at £16m.
As for Cleverley, Aston Villa wanted him but he turned them down and Everton are currently trying to sign him as well.
Urgh. Cleverley is staying. -

As good as it is to get all the business done earlier in the window, it makes deadline day a lot less exciting! Looks like a few teams will be taking the i can score more than you approach this season, a few dodgy defences.
