  Falcao's joined United on loan. City or Arsenal really did seem the more likely destination, is he needed?

  Rojo, Shaw, Blind, Herrera, di Maria, Falcao.
  
  Add a CM like Vidal to that and that's surely verging on the best transfer window for any club ever?

  Javier Hernandez is in Madrid for a medical ahead of his loan move to Real. And all that talk of Welbeck not being sold to a top-six rival has cooled now Falcao's signed. Spurs? Arsenal?
  
  Micah Richards is off to Fioretina, and Alvaro Negredo's in talks with Valencia about a loan move. Wasn't that one meant to be clearing the way for Falcao? Who have City got lined up instead? Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle all want Matija Nastasic too.
  
  Chelsea midfielder Marco Van Ginkel is about to join Fernando Torres on loan at Milan.
  
  And it looks like Southampton are doing some decent business. Atletico defender Toby Alderweireld is having a medical and Sporting Lisbon winger Diego Capel isn't far behind. Both season-long loans.

  Hernandez to Madrid - done. £1.5m loan fee with an option to buy, don't know how much the option to buy is.

  Welbeck to Man City! You heard it here first (because I just made it up). Makes sense when you think about it though. They need homegrown players to take the edge off that reduction of their Champions League squad and if Negredo's off to Valencia you'd imagine they've got something in the pipeline...
  
  Javier Hernandez has completed his move to Real Madrid. 12 month loan with an option to buy.
  
  James McArthur's about to join Crystal Palace for £7m and they're keen on David McGoldrick too, along with Leicester. The Ipswich striker will cost a ridiculous £8m apparently. Is that even more mental than McCormack and Long?
  
  Some money, plus Andros Townsend for Jay Rodriguez. It's a package worth £14m but Southampton aren't at all keen.
  
  Nathaniel Chalobah's getting loaned to Burnley and Mo Diame's off to Hull for around £3.5m. Such a Hull signing, that.

  Liverpool centre half Sebastien Coates is having a medical at Sunderland. Sort of a consolation for missing out on Fabio Borini, who might be off to QPR instead.
  
  And sticking with the Rs, they've been offered Petr Cech on loan according to the Daily Mail.
