  I read somewhere as well (be it speculation or otherwise) that he was in the running. If he was in the running up against Jesse Eisenburg, and both were game, someone must have had a screw loose to cast Eisenburg over Cranston. I have not seen a tremendous amount of his work, infact Godzilla is the only thing that springs to mind at the momennt (i still have not got around to watching Breaking Bad). Even from his performance in Godzilla though, he was by far the best thing about the movie.

  Thinking again about The Suicide Squad movie. Asides from Jared Letos Joker im not sure about the rest of the cast. Yet again we have Jai bloody courtney (cant stand him, really am struggling to recall a single performance he has made that i have liked). Tom Hardy is usually pretty dependable (for me though his finest hour to date was in Bronson). Cara Delevigne , Will Smith..i just dont know. If i do pay to go and see this it will be purely to see Jareds Joker.

  Yeah the cast for Suicide squad is a mixed bag for me too, I like Jared Leto for Joker, he'll look the part with the make up and is actually a good actor. Jai Courtney is one of those actors where I don't understand how they keep getting roles, haven't seen a single thing where he's stood out, and I don't think any of the films where he has had a big role have been successful (must have a great agent).

  Didn't actually forget her, just she didn't come up as I was more referring to the ones I found questionable. Margot Robbie is an excellent choice for Harley, but most of the casting for that film just seems random and a little daft. Half expecting Jaden Smith to be announced for a DC film now (since will smith only seems to take parts on the grounds he can get one of his kids work).

  Jaden Smith, as in The Karate Kid remake and After Earth...NNOOOO. Cant have the whole family affair thing going on. Next thing you know Will will show up in Gotham just because Jada happens to be in it. New stoday that Tom Hardy is no longer ttached to the suicide squad movie. As an alternative the powers that be are eyeing up Jake Gyllenhaal to take his spot. Im not overly familiar with the character that Hardy was scheduled to play but Gyllenhaal is usually dependable in what ever he does.

  He has now pulled out of the Suicide Squad film because of 'scheduling conflicts' although his agent was dropping hints that the role didn't have the onscreen time he thought originally. I know he played Bane but you could not tell it from seeing it so there must be a superhero role for him out there! Will have a think and get back to you.

  Its no secret that there have been trailer related developments regarding Batman Vs Superman over the past few days. First there was the snippet teaser. Only several seconds long, not even worth putting up here. In the last 24 hours or so though, the first proper trailer was leaked. The quality has been pretty poor and theres foriegn subtitles and given that the youtube sources of this seem to be being pulled at some speed, its pointless putting the vid up. However, the official imax screening of the trailer takes place at select cinemas starting monday so i suspect warners will put it online properly, then. Despite the quality of the early leak i have seen, looks to be so far so good as far as the film goes.
