Well, shit.

Some tunes...

An 18-month battle with cancer apparently, and his death comes just 3 days after the release of his final album Blackstar. We should all probably go and listen to that.

There'd been rumours about his health for years and this comeback, which began with 2013's The Next Day, marked the end of a near-on 10 year hiatus.

I saw him at the Isle of Wight festival back in 2004, one of his last live performances as it turns out. Fucking brilliant (as Briss would say).

Guy was a legend. I was never the biggest David Bowie fan but i know enough about him to know/ call him what he was... a right legend. Shame really. Music has honestly lost one of its greats. Sad day for many no doubt. RIP my London chum.
Ill just leave my three favourite songs of his down below ;) Well known and obvious ones yea.. but they are my favs.

David Bowie Was Indeed A " One Of A Kind " A Very Talented Singer/Lyricist/Composer/Musician/Performer.
His Unique Take On Music Will Certainly Remain Like ALL THE GREATS That Have Now Passed Into Legend.
I Was Fortunate To Attend His 1990 Sound & Vision Concert In Tokyo. Absolutely Wonderful Experience.
It Was My Only Live Performance Of Him - Sadly My Last.
He Was Simply " REMARKABLE."

Sad news this morning, that David Bowie has passed away.

The man is, was, a true LEGEND. That word gets banded around too easily nowadays, for people who maybe don't deserve it. David Bowie, however, 100% deserves that title. An inspirational, gifted, clever, brilliant musician.

Here's one that had appeared in the Favourite Songs thread as well. The rare video, found 40 years later. RIP David Bowie! Unique.
