CROSSFIT WANKERS!

CROSSFIT WANKERS!
So I tried crossfit for the first time yesterday as my sister wouldn't stop banging on about it. Armed with my bottle of water I enter a room in a warehouse on an industrial estate.

Overall the class was good, I got a decent workout out of it but it's the whole ***** thing I just can't get my head around. I said to the trainer I could do once a week and he told me I'd have to commit to 3 days a week. 3 days?!? Er, that sounds pretty excessive for a fucking class. Oh, and did I forget to mention they all fist bump? Before each challenge they give each other a fist pound and wish you good luck.

Yup, I'll let that sit with you for a while before you decide you want to take up crossfit.

Couldnt commit to 3 days a week..thats shocking lol. Have gotta say the whole fist bumping / wishing the other people exercizing good luck..couldnt be doing with that level of cheese, would just want to get on with it. Have heard of Cross fit, no idea if its any good though (will stick with all the stuff im doing now).

It wasn't a bad workout tbf gymaddict but I don't think they really concentrate on form. It's more about who can lift the most weight/do the highest reps so someone could get pretty injured. but yeah, 3 days is ridonk! lol x

Ridonk as in Ridonkulous, you need to keep up with the youth Jose haha. I have a few friends that tried to get me into crossfit but just as you said Reed they're not big on form, they just wanna get through as many reps as possible so I politely declined. I decided to go with this Insanity programme instead

I used to be the same ReedeFox. Just doing the workouts, pushing as hard as i could with no regard for form. Really used to do my lower back and legs in. I started focussing on form, warm ups and stretching as well the day after the night before when i had worked out especially hard. Was on the bus, went to get up, couldnt..my bloody legs wouldnt work. Did after a minute or so, they were just completely num and didnt want to move. Thats what i love about insanity and other such workouts as they really do tend to drive home the importance of warm ups, stretching and general form. Ridonk, yeah i didnt get that either (make allowances, i am 36 lol).
