I can appreciate everything that worked well in Avengers Assemble and it has good moments but it just doesn't quite 'click' for me.

In general I prefer Marvel's (new) films but I think the first 2 Nolan Batman films are better.
As for the third one. I want to say it makes the Catwoman film seem reasonable but that would be too harsh.

I tend to switch back and forth as to where my comic book mmovie preferences lie but, the majority of the time, its DC that does it for me. I base this on Nolans Batman movies and Man of steel. I loved all four of these. I have liked many of the recent marvel entries (with the exception being the god awful Thor - the dark world..urgh) but cant recall the last one i really enjoyed. Just to explain, i like my comic movies DARK. I did enjoy Avengers assemble but it didnt tick all the boxes for me (it was Loki and the Chitauri that spoiled it in my opinion). This is why i have got high hopes for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Its meant too be and certainly looks, a lot darker in subject matter / story etc..
