It seems to be a pretty common problem for athletes and sportsman, or maybe it's just arrogance - celebrating their "win" before they've actually won. They're inches from the finish line and then someone else comes along and steals the title from under them.

You know the old saying "pride comes before a fall". Maybe it's a good idea not to get too cocky!

Haha, that reminds me of when Alan Pardew celebrated Crystal Palace goal in the FA Cup Final against Manchester United, a bit too much with a hint of "Dad Dancing" only to lose the game 2-1.

Pure arrogance and quite stupid if it happens to you on the track in athletics as theres a jumbo screen in front of you showing the home straight so you should know how far the other competitors are behind so serves them right if it happens.
