  In honour of it's use in the teaser trailer for The Marvels, I had to upload not only one of the greatest rap songs ever, but also one of the genre's greatest videos too. The homages to classic Japanese mecha and kaiju cinema is perfect.

  Happy 50th birthday to all five elements of hip-hop. The impact that thousands of teenagers in the Bronx in the seventies had on the world in terms of every facet of everyday life like music, fashion, dance, art, language is undeniable, everlasting and gargantuan. Even the content created by all the amazing women on this incredible website has been influenced by hip-hop. Twerking is a tip goal, users beg to see women in platform heels, weaves have become hair extensions, jewellery became bling, thick became thicc and then became thique, extravagantly long and intricately designed acrylic nails became the norm, oh my god Becky look at her butt became BBLs, thin lips became fuller, Lil Kim became as iconic as Marilyn Monroe, everyone knows what WAP is an acronym for. Long live hip-hop.

  It's handbags at war time in rap again, as a number of emcees have taken to the mic to throw petty audio jabs at each other. It all started with Kendrick, then Cole replied (and then apologised), Drake responded and now Ross has stepped into the fray.   Can't take Rick Ross serious after he got bodied by a watch merchant. Honestly can't take any of them serious. 40 year olds talking about "I fucked yo bitch". Drake won though.

  Drake and his ghostwriters have released another song towards his haters, and this time he's digged up a grave of a rap legend, against the wishes of his estate, in a desperate attempt to win this battle. He also tries the 8 Mile trick of dissing himself so his opponents can't use it against him, but that subject matter is frankly disgusting in terms of his love for girls under eighteen. The sad thing is that this paedo issue won't end of his career, but hopefully it will in the future and he'll be rotting in prison like R. Kelly

  Kendrick has responded and it's brutal. I hope and pray this is the end of Drake, but he's somehow survived everything that's been thrown at him, due to his sycophantic fanbase of teenagers, incels and single mothers. I despise Drake and I dislike everything he's done to rap.
