One of my childhood favourite's, and WAY better than the crappy remake.
To some the effect's seem dated, what do you expect it's 80's.
Anyway I love this movie.

i tried to watch the 1981 version after someone told me the same as what's written in your post. i basically found it unwatchable lol. i guess hollywood has conditioned me not to accept those kinds of effects lol and if it's that kind of move i just can't watch it lol
