3 tier ? even that is different for some people in different areas . the government have made a mess of it an nobody understands the rules . least of all the prime minister who signed off on them,
this decision surely cannot come down to democratic majority .we either go with the science which recommended the circuit breaker weeks ago to stop this new rise in cases.
or we follow the success of other nations. Cuba. Vietnam Germany who have local lockdowns. but proper lockdowns . never mind gyms being open nobody can either enter or leave an area in lockdown.
we have to start looking differently at this virus now. any hopes of it simply going away or a vaccine being here before winter have gone, we have to look at the virus in the short term as being here for 3 years and in the longterm for being here for 18 years.
many countries have early warning routines for volcanic eruptions or tsunamis. now we have to develop a response to when an ( singular ) infection breaks out. close down the town or the post code ( several adjoining postcode ) region. people have to be prepared to always have 3 weeks of tinned and dried food in the house. eventually lockdowns can become more surgical , close down a school, keep students on campus at a university, but for now we have to lockdown and lockdown completely wherever this virus is. teams go in house to house testing. all positive tests to detail their history to limit spreading.
