Id still say our league is the best in the world, but of course not the best teams, its just our leagues so much more competitive , The elite will always be real and barca and munich but who knows , i mean psg are doing alright and theyre a money team so maybe its just the way we play our football.

    Porto v Bayern Munich
Juventus v Monaco would love one of the french teams to win or porto just to break the same ol routine

Would be good if porto had a run, considering i dont even know whos in their team anymore. Want psg to turnover barca for once but im always backing real madrid, solid team. Monaco with the run would be superb and then play psg in the semis

all these managers and media calling for a winter break due to our teams exiting europe,i dont get that, it is a mans game being played by spoilt young boys and how comes Chelsea won it a few seasons back

It is funny to look back on some older posts in hindsight. What appeared easier for Arsenal turned out to be nothing of the sort becuase of a dire first leg. Maybe next year? Manchester City on the other hand....well...nuff said

Would have been interesting to see chelsea barca again. Not always the greatest of games but barca do seem to have some kind of block when it comes to chelsea.

Todays gonna be a massive game . I hope porto can turn up and grind that result today. Not that i hate bayern just want a bit of change in the teams. I mean real i hope gets through against athletico cos of the style they play and i hope psg can beat barca too. With juventus , they surely gotta do it against monaco ....game on!

It feels like this new format is UEFA's attempt to appease the "Founding 12" clubs that tried to create the Super League by creating more games and hence more money. But like some players have already said creating more games is only going to lead to more players that won't be at their peak performance levels, which'll only lead to more uninspiring games. The expansion of the Club World Club, the creation of the Nations League and expansion of the World Cup by FIFA are all terrible ideas. Personally I'd like to see a reduction in the number of club and national games at the top level but it won't happen because the governing bodies don't care about the well-being of the players or the cost to the fans. The old CL group format was pretty predictable and it was easy to work out which two teams would qualify and the last two group games were usually dead rubbers. But it could be worse, I remember when there were two group stage in the CL, and that was a terrible format.
