Bayern Munich v Man City
Bit of a tough one, this. Both sides are safely through to the knockouts but City will top the group if they win by 3 goals or more. Not saying that's going to happen by any means (neither are the bookies at 50/1), but they might be more inclined to go for it than a Bayern side knowing that anything less than a hammering will be enough.
At the same time, if they try and attack too much they'll likely get pulled apart on the break. Pellegrini no doubt realises this and might just decide to avoid a potential embarrassment by playing it safe.
With all that in mind, the draw at 19/5 looks a good shout, but so does Bayern to win by 3 goals or more at 12/5. Aguero to score at any time won't ever be longer than 19/10 this season, that might be worth a couple of quid as well (providing he plays).
Prediction: 3-1 (9/1)
Man Utd v Shakhtar
For all the comedy in the league so far this season, United's European form has actually been alright. They got a point when these sides met in the Ukraine and the same again tonight will see them top Group A. David Moyes isn't the most adventurous of managers so I reckon that's what he'll be aiming for, 5/2 for the draw.
They haven't exactly been flying at Old Trafford lately so 3/1 on less than 1.5 match goals might be worth a look. In the scorer markets, Rooney aside (21/5 for the first goal), former Arsenal man Eduardo is 11/4 to net at any time.
Prediction: 1-1 (11/2)
Tonight's other games (with predictions):
Galatasaray v Juventus: 0-1 (13/2)
Plzen v CSKA Moscow: 0-2 (14/1)
Real Sociedad v Leverkusen: 1-1 (13/2)
Benfica v PSG: 2-1 (15/2)
FC Copenhagen v Real Madrid: 1-3 (9/1)
Olympiakos v Anderlecht: 2-0 (5/1)
Accumulator: £5 on wins for Juventus, Bayern Munich, CSKA, Real Madrid and Olympiakos could return just over £71.
