  The draw was made for the semis earlier this morning, and here it is...
  
  Real Madrid v Bayern Munich
  Atletico Madrid v Chelsea
  
  So no Mourinho v Guardiola or Mourinho v Real, that'll have to wait until the final should Chelsea make it. Atletico's hopes of progression were handed a boost today though when UEFA confirmed that their keeper Thibaut Courtois will be eligible to play against his parent-club, seems all that talk of a £5m penalty clause was wide of the mark.
  
  And here's what it's done to the odds for the eventual winner (not much):
  
  Bayern Munich 6/4
  Real Madrid 5/2
  Chelsea 4/1
  Atletico Madrid 4/1
  
  Bayern and Real still favourites despite having to play each other. Worth taking a punt on one of the 4/1s?
  
  The first legs will be played 22/23 April and the seconds 29/30 April.

  As a Chelsea man it's all good news for me. That said though this result a few years ago would of been a lot less daunting that it is now. The Courtois scenario did give me some extra hope so that's now in tatters but overall could still swing either way in my opinion. Also allows the team to size up Costa if he's fit, as all this talk of him going Chelsea may well come true, although it does seem that every top player is linked to Chelsea at some point in the run up to a transfer window.

  Looks like Bayern Munich are faltering at the wrong time.
  
  
  
  Getting beat 3-0 at home by Borussia Dortmund cannot be explained away like the other recent slip ups. It is not acceptable to get torn apart by your biggest rivals even if you have won the league.
  
  They have got the better of Real Madrid at this stage before, but I think Ronaldo is at his pinnacle at the moment. Even if they fail to win the league, Real Madrid are the most exciting team in Europe - even considering Atletico's performance against Barcelona - and are best placed for the tournament.

  Just seen Costa went off in Athletico's game earlier and they're talking about him being out for the season. Would be a massive boost for Chelsea if that's true.
