Bayern Munich v Man City
One day, City will get an easy group. And although tonight is something of a free pass (Roma and CSKA will lose at the Allianz too) it must be frustrating to stutter in to the knock-outs (at best) having spent all that money. Despite Munich's injury worries, 4/6 on the home win outright looks a steal.
Could be a draw, stranger things have happened, but at the same time there's a reason it's as long as 16/5. 8/5 on Bayern with a -1 handicap isn't quite as appealing, but far more likely. Go large. They're far too close to EVS in the anytimes so it'll have to be Lewandowski (7/2) or Muller (4/1) to score first. And if you fancy City to get a consolation, how about Jovetic at 3/1 anytime?
Prediction: 2-1 (13/2)
Chelsea v Schalke
The one English side who shouldn't have too much trouble getting past their German opposition this week. The two sides were drawn together in last season's group stage and Chelsea won both matches 3-0. They look more than capable of at least matching that sort of margin tonight so 2/1 on the -2 handicap is well worth a go. There's talk of Drogba starting and therefore, you'd imagine, Diego Costa will be given a rest. The Ivorian's 7/2 to score first but 5/1 on Remy getting 2 or more looks intriguing too. Just wait for the line-ups yeah.
Prediction: 3-0 (13/2)
