  Thought I would start a thread on this fight next weekend. Really looking forward to it as I am a big Carl Froch fan, so you won't be surprised to hear that I can't see George Groves having any chance in this bout. He has a big heart does Groves but he has a soft chin and I think Froch will get him out of there in 5 rounds

  George Groves says he should be the favourite when he challenges fellow Briton Carl Froch for his WBA and IBF world titles in Manchester on Saturday.
  
  Unbeaten Groves, 25, claims he has the ability and mentality to make up for Froch's 11 years more experience.
  
  "In the emotional and mental battles I have annihilated him. I think I should be favourite," Groves told BBC Sport.
  
  Froch has lost twice in 33 bouts and dismissed Groves as "disrespectful, very arrogant and downright rude".
  
  "He has developed a whopping ego and he seems to have turned into a bit of a bad lad," Froch added.
  
  "It is uncalled for and I don't like that. I am going to take great pleasure in knocking him out."

  Carl Froch is about 3 -1 favourite going into the last week. I recommended to a friend of mine to put a small bet on George Groves causing an upset. George Groves has great movement and all round boxing ability. He's also very fast. As I have said before, I think Carl Froch has made a very big mistake in taking this fight. Fair play to him. Carl Froch has demonstrated against Arthur Abraham that he too can box. I just hope he keeps his cool and doesn't try to blast out Groves.
  
  I agree with you that experience is on Carl's side. Groves still has questions to answer but there's still something telling me the bookies have got this one wrong.

  Groves thinks that he can do the same to Froch that he did to De gale. Upset him and take him off a his game. But angering Froch is nota good idea. Froch will be too good in every department for him.

  I will have to politely disagree with you hard, Groves is being over-rated but his quoted odds in my opinion, his chin is not strong enough and Froch is dangerous fighter to go against with a soft chin, just ask Bute about that.

  Carl. I was wrong. You were right. I saw something that groves did that made me change my mind: he couldn't give a straight answer to the question about if he thought he would win the fight. When he gave a lengthy explanation before saying yes he believed he would win. I knew he was only trying to convince himself. He didn't really believe he would win. I had been fooled by Groves in the build up. I, now, will refund my friend who I told to put a bet on George.
  
  He lost by a 9th round stoppage. The stoppage was a bit too early. The referee should have given him an 8 count then see how he was but he didn't. I think Carl Froch would have stopped him later and beaten him really bad if it had continued. Hopefully a rematch will be made but I think George Groves should wait a while until Carl froch retires. He gave it all he had and the man still came back and to be honest Carl looked terrible. That was an awful fight by Carl Froch's standards but he got the job done. Imagine what he would do to Groves in the rematch. He will destroy him.

  Well I wouldn't say I was completely right as I felt Froch would have got him out of there in the first 6 but there is no doubt Groves was on his way out and there was a chance he'd have been seriously hurt had it continue into a another round though it's hard to escape the feeling that it was stopped a bit early. Tough one to call for the ref really. Any rematch will see Groves get flattened early I think, Froch won't take him lightly this time in the early rounds

  I thought Froch would win relatively comfortably but credit to Groves for having a real go. I don't think the ref should have stopped the fight just there but I can understand why he did - Groves was all over the place at that point. Better too early than too late I guess!
  
  I don't think for a second he's robbed Groves though. I have no doubt that Froch would have gone on to win had the fight continued. He had him there and I don't think he'd have seen out the round tbh. Once Froch gets a sniff a fighter is struggling he's lethal.

  Seeing the fight it was hard for me to believe that Carl Froch didn't live up to the expectations that everyone wanted even though he won. I thin George Groves deserves a rematch because that was the best performance i have ever seen from geroge. He was winning easily according to me.
