  To many, the end of the last Thor movie felt like the beginning of terminal superhero fatigue. Certainly my own enthusiasm was low for another two hours-plus of complicated nonsense, building up to a wearying effects-splurge climax in which no one important dies. Especially with Captain America, the most white-bread Avenger in the pack. But the custodians of the megabucks Marvel franchise do something remarkable here; radical, even. They get political. Rather than, say, trying to stop a malevolent super-elf destroying the nine realms of Asgard, these superheroes are suddenly grappling with real-world issues such as national security, civil liberty, and intelligence gathering. It's exhilarating to see.

  I actually enjoyed Thor 2, i like fantasy films in general though. But as for your main point that's the good thing about the shared universe of the films, all the characters can connect with each other for team ups but due to being very different the solo films can go off in totally different directions.

  Captain america 2 has saved itself following the first one. don't get me wrong it was good but no where near as good as the other marvel introductions. It's not often i can say i prefer the sequel to the original.

  I liked the first Captain America (The First Avenger), i can understand why it wasn't the most popular of Marvel's run of films, the setting being world war 2 period and his powers not being as dramatic as Iron Man's suit or Thor's godlike powers probably lessened the appeal a bit.

  i like trhe old captain americas so im gona watch this one when i get a chance,i saw the trailer and it looks good and they even got my boy gsp the former ufc champ in there doing his thing

  Definitely worth a watch Junior, especially if you liked the first, the tone is very different to the first (obviously due to the change in time period) but it's a great second outing for the character. I personally have actually already preorded it on blu-ray, looking forward to watching it again.

  Yep junior Gsp is indeed in it as far as the actual film goes its defo worth the watch i wasnt a big fan of the first but the plot for this was far better and romanov was in it far more

  I agree with the reviews given here. Although I enjoyed the first one and by no means was it a bad film. The Winter Soldier is hands down a better film in every sense. Story was better, characters felt more rounded, action was improved. A really impressive sequel

  this is probably the best super hero film i have ever seen and the start of the film just kicked it all off to be honest and the twist with nick fury was brilliant even though everyone knew his didn't die and the fact that the it linked up with the previous film with the captains friend trying to kill him
