  The points are only gained if your post contains more than 140 characters,
  and you cannot gain more than 20 points per day.

  aww right well whats the limit to get free minutes on here because i do phone loads without free minutes so i do need soem free minutes to be able to afford it all aha, but the money i spend is well worth my time believe me ! :)

  You just need over 10 points to claim them (1 minute worth), and your posts must be over 140 characters to earn the points.

  Does anyone know if the free minutes thing is working at all? I posted earlier and did not get any points and I am pretty sure the post was long enough! Is there a length limit that you have to reach before the points are awarded? If anyone knows or to clarify that would be good as a little confused here!

  it works perfectly. in order to get points, you need to post something over 140 characters and you only get 20 points per 24hrs maximum no matter how many times you post.
  
  if you've not gotten points then it's either that you've already received your 20 for this 24hr period or that your post was not over 140 characters

  well you got no points for that post because it's only just about 40 characters not the 140 you need in order to receive a point, and after looking through your posts i don't think any of them with the possible exception of one come anywhere near the 140 characters needed to be awarded a point.
