  Wasn't all that long ago we'd have been bussing in to HMV to pay £15 for the VHS-privilege of this.
  
  Now look at us. Just got to press a couple buttons and we're instantly watching The Boss on a big ol' flatscreen TV, whilst at the same time listening to him through a big ol' sound bar; and all for a fraction of the price. Didn't even have to leave the house.
  
  We fucking made it, my dudes!
  
  Springsteen on Broadway was recorded during Springsteen's run of live Broadway shows (Springsteen! Broadway!), in which his life story is interspersed with stripped-down versions of some of his very many bangers.
  
  It looks very, very fucking good and comes out December 16th. Trailer!

  Can't wait for this. Bruce Springsteen is my guy. Without a doubt the best I have ever seen live. It will be interesting to hear his stories between the songs as he talks about his life and what the songs mean to him. They mean s much to me. I discovered him properly when I was about 16/17 and fell in love with the idealism of the early albums because that's where I was in my life but as time goes on the albums I cling to are Darkness and The River due to their portrayal of real adult life, not the idealised version we think of it when we are younger.

  I have to admit I am not familiar with Springsteen at all, other than his name. For someone who couldn't name one of his songs (not to say I haven't heard any) what would you suggest I start with to get an idea of his type of music?

  Born In The USA album has probably got the best banger ratio, but all the 70s-80s stuff is worth a go. Pile in!
