  I agree was good to have something different winning not the usual singer/dancer, and a very British tribute to an old war veteran made me feel very proud! Not going to get political but hope that shows people that Britain does things so much better and we don't need to be ruled by anyone else in Europe leave us alone Belgium/France and Germany!

  Well, that was a little anti climactic. Dont get me wrong Richard is a talented magician and his audition and semi final performance trick were fantastic whereas his performance piece in the final featured a frankly pretty dull trick and a love letter to some old dude who used to do magic. It was rousing, it was patriotic, it made me a tiny bit nauscious. Still, nice guy, talented and a long overdue win for a magician (even if i honestly dont knnow if i could ever watch an hour long show of his close up magic..reckon i would be bored after the first few tricks). Didnt bet but my money was on Beau, thought she was unstoppable (glad i didnt bet now). The burning question is though will we ever learn the identities of the members of Boogie storm?

  Didn't like the result of this. Average dancers made it to the top 3 purely because they were dressed like Stormtroopers and the average singer was in the top 2 (the one who was so cockney it looked like it was painful). And the act that actually risked his life and was genuinely different didn't even make the top 3.
  The winner was ok, but found his shameless attempt to get votes by using a war hero a bit tasteless.

  A few weeks into 'BGT 2017' and it slipped my mind that there was a running thread on this. Anyone else watching this? Also, anyone else agree that this, so far, has been one of the least memorable years in memory. Very, very few memorable performances (both good and bad..with the possible exception of that male impressionist either last week or the week before, so bad but oh so funny). Theres not even the same level of banter between David and Simon this time around so far. Perhaps the talent well is almost dry in the uk (well..those acts that are genuine undiscovered and not those hand picked, former other show hopefuls or professional acts that really should know better and give the undiscovered a chance).

  Another instalment of BGT..and another underwhelming one at that. Asides from the really talented girls choir, genuine talent was more than a little thin on the ground. Fortunatly some of the shit acts made up for it to a degree. The person who got the golden buzzer though..really. I know cmedy is selective/objective and we all have differentt tastes but diidnt find the person talented nor funny. On the upside, as far as this season goes, think theres only one or two audition shows left.

  In reference to last saturdays audition instalment of BGT (one 1 part audition episode to go then its live week), there were a couple of standouts (and no, im not talking about Davids golden buzzer act..ok, i couldnt sing like the kiddy but, lined up against some of the real singing coontenders this series so far..he wasnt nearly as good..seemed to have issues with vocal range). The sandouts for me were the girl doing either classcal or opera with the hauntingly brilliant but at the same time powerful voice ( a real contender i reckon) but also that guy from, was it Tokyo..you know, the swallowing items guy. How the hell he did that i have no clue, was convinced there was no way we were seeing that balloon again but..wow, just wow.

  Well, that was certainly a dull as episode wasnt it? Although, in all fairness, the 80' themed guys did make me smile (think that was out of nostalgia if nothing else though). As far as the acts that have been put through go, by on llarge the choices seem to be positive (although how the fuck did that makeshift transformer get put through). A shame that it didnt show all the acts that were put through though (really hoping that guy from the orient with that swallowing talent gets through to the next round). Live week next week..a tall rder watching BGT 6 nights straight but, suffice to say, thats what i'll be doing.

  Have heard a lot have been kicked out for being on other countries versions or being professional including the female bendy group and I believe your swallower guy! Think they have got fed up that amateur talent gets brushed aside by acts who have a career, not sure that will work will wait and see.

  So they kicked out actual good acts then? That explains where the contortionists went then (they were good), even the crazy magician that swallowed random stuff. Seems more like they just kicked out acts that weren't british because they've had professional singers on before now. The semi finals look like they'll be a bit shit to be honest, a few good acts and mostly generic dancers and singers (and that freak in the crappy robot suit, and terrible dj).
