Well in case you had not noticed times are getting pretty bad right now. Bring back the Donald
when we had the Obama / Biden administration the Russians went into Crimea.
Assad used chemical weapons in Syria even after being told by Obama that would be a ' RED LINE ' . Obama did nothing ( he told them not to do it again ) true Assad also used chemical weapons when Trump was President but he bombed them.
Trump got rid of the top Iranian who was plotting 'sinister' attacks.
during the Obama / Biden administration China invaded the Philipines. The US actually has a military base in the Phillippines but nothing happened. It was Trump who continually warned us that China was not our friend while Obama did ridiculous trade deals with them.
we are now looking at a situation where Australia and China could be at war ( good luck with that Aussies )
the Obama / Biden administration left the US at Benghazi in Libya to die.
we cannot afford such weak presidents at such a difficult time.
sure Trump is unpleasant, uncouth boorish but he is scary. nobody knows how he will react so they did not mess with him at the moment we know what the US reaction will be. just enough sanctions to not actually make a difference.

i take your point .
but add all those up against not only the deaths in Ukraine but the potential deaths and i think the scales are in Trumps favour. Trump did not give Americans the right to bear arms. that was around long before him and as far as i can tell no President has removed that right. you surely do not lay the entire blame on Trump for something in the constitution over 200 years ago which he or nobody else removed. ( even if they could which they cannot ).

okay. this is not an argument for bringing back Trump but it was commented about his not restricting guns in his Presidency and it seemed to be apportioning him some blame for the recent shooting. like i said in previous post there have been a lot of other Presidents and i cannot think of any who have tackled gun ownership. It is a completely different attitude to guns and we, in this country cannot understand the strength of feeling for them in the US..
but to show the point. just this week the supreme court have struck down a ruling in New York which restricted the carrying of concealed guns. nothing to do with Trump it is just the way it is in the US. after those shootings which people in this country witnessed and said something should be done in the US about guns . they actually make it easier to carry guns on the streets.

Sorry, but that can be directly attributed to Trump.  He appointed three of the judges on the US Supreme Court, his favroued candidates who shared his world view.  Tipping the balance in favour of the Republican view of the world, all three who lied about their intentions reagarding "Roe Vs Wade".
One of who he quickly moved to appoint when Ruth Bader Ginsburg died.  A move carried out in spite of the lateness in his term and against the tradition where a sitting US President would not appoint a new judge when one dies late in his term in office.

The fallout from that concealed carry law is undoubtedly on it's way.  Law enforcement in the US are more than likely going to start a much more aggressive, shoot now, ask questions later strategy.  You move you hands at all and they will shoot, "I thought he was reaching for a concealed gun".  I know this happens now, but with the law change, more will be carrying concealed weapons, the incidence of these type of shootings will rise.

As for Ukraine, don't forget this is the same guy that withdrew aid from Ukraine when they didn't help him nobble his opponent, this weakened the country and quite probably helped encourage the "anexxing" of Crimea.


Last point, no one, not the American people nor the people in the rest of the world need Donald Trump as a second term US President.  Exactly because of your reason for having him again.  He's volatile and basically bat shit crazy.  This is a man who made a statement about nuking a tornado and who tear gassed a church for a photo oportunity.

i take your point about the supreme court, Trump did get appointees on it. no easy task for a President to get one on let alone three. they have to be approved. vetted and it is a difficult process.
but it remains that the US constitution is over 200 years old and there have been many other Presidents before Trump. In fairness to Joe Biden i must comment on his success in getting through a new gun law. which means there will be background checks on people buying guns and people who have been convicted of violence against their partners will not be able to buy a gun, it may seem small to us but it is a start. so hats off Joe.
I do not take your point about Ukraine. that was an Obama administration sitting on their hands over Crimea. sending a message to Putin that they were weak and same with the RED LINE that he gave Assad about the use of chemical weapons.
And i come back to China again . It was Trump and only Trump who made it clear that China was not our friend. when Obama was doing trade deals that sold out the US worker and sitting on his hands while China invaded the Phillipines. It was the weakness of the Obama / Biden administration ( the appeasement if you will ) that made the world a more dangerous place.
