  I am not aware that there has ever been a ladyboy channel Tony but I have been told by others that Babestation experimented with a guys only channel. It flopped miserably and was pulled after a few weeks they say but it must have been a long time ago as I don't ever remember seeing it around.
  
  That is quite different to a ladyboy channel and would probably attract a different clientele I know, but it is the nearest thing I can think of to it that has existed.

  I doubt there will be a Thai hardcore channel or show anytime soon, for the reasons it died in the first place: not enough business. Now that they have pervcam, I'm sure they see no reason to give everyone all that free content and only get revenue from the phone calls...that is not their business model, which is try to get everyone to pay for adult content. Second, the hardcore may really have risked shutdown from local authorities. I generally don't believe in all the myths about how they are about to be shut down, but there may have been limits.

  Derry I agree with you in principal But judging by the content of the shows on rampant,TV  Thai Chat is a very rich relative In fact I dont think they can be compared - One of the big differences being all the thai shows have 2 girls on them which to all intents and purposes give double the earning potentual of the Rtv channels The point being that  if they were run better they could and should be making a great deal more money with much lower costs overall than any of the british channels and with the premium prices they are charging for perv-cam They must be rubbing their hands in glee and raking it in Not even taking into account the telephone calls  I would be very suprised if the people running these channels dont make millions particularly since the introduction of the perv-cams

  Hey Tony, I agree with the amazing potential of the Thai channel - the much lower cost structure for studio rent and salary should work in their favour if they can make the channel successful. Still, Thai Chat does not do the call volume that most of the UK channels do, in part because there have been few efforts to really promote it, and we all know that the Thai girls are not given a level playing field, being inaccessible to mobile devices, having no microphone, no reasonable night show hours, and on and on. There will always be a bias against the Thai channel from those who want to show how manly they are by spewing venom about how all the Thai girls are ladyboys, and oh how we all must be gay, yadayadayada...so that is a challenge to overcome. But you are right - if they ever invested in optimizing TC with the customer in mind, they could take advantage of lower operating costs and the power of the two girls on the couch format to make good money. I was just saying that about Thai Hardcore because in that format, they probably thought they were throwing money away because it was essentially free hardcore content for all but the caller, and too many were happy to freeload. Pervcam is obviously their response to that. I would be happy with TV night hours with pervcam for those who want the hardcore content, but I would not mind at all some webshow hours like they had in 2017, when some of the girls did some hardcore (Amy) and others did more than you can do on TV.

  Well said derryman. The potential for the channel is huge but it is so badly handled, it seems as though it makes profits in spite of how it is marketed and managed rather than because of it.
  
  I think sexy webshows when it is not broadcast on TV is the best we can hope for, but a TV night show could be a good alternative, provided the girls are prepared to at least go topless to compete with the UK girls. They did webshows for a while until 1am last year but it was a disaster as they stopped the girls from showing much and they had hardly any business as a result.

  Yes, GrandDuke, if they do go to night show hours it absolutely cannot be like that brief experiment when TC broadcast until 1:00 AM but the girls were not allowed to show anything!! What a silly idea that was! I hope they learned how futile that was. The upside of a TV night show is that TC's customer base seems to be heavily biased toward TV and not internet. I am surprised by that, but I was wondering if maybe the average TC fan is older and more accustomed to TV?

  Hi duke No you are right there never has been a ladyboy channel - my mistake I am thinking back to the fiasco you mention which stopped almost as quickly as it started on Rampant.tv which I talked about in another post.

  An interesting point you raise derryman about the average age of Thai Chat fans. I suspect that you may be right but is something we will never know for sure. 
  
  I am no spring chicken and quite a few others on here aren't either. On the chat box, which seems mainly to consist of Thai Chat haters, they seem to give the impression that most of them are under 35 years of age but that is merely a feeling I get from their posts. 
  
  If you are right though, it certainly explains why their fan base is heavily weighted towards TV.

  Its a great shame that so many come across thai chat channel and automaticly think its full of ladyboys and dont think they are patient enough to explore when they would discover that its predomently full of young gorgeous thai girls and just a couple of beautiful ladyboys perhaps its because their frightened they cant tell the difference!!!

  I hand't considered the age thing either.  It's easy to assume everyone is of a similar age who watches and posts here, but it's really not the case and people, both new and old, tend to stick to the same routine when it comes to certain things.
  
  I agree tony, some men probably don't even want to take the risk in thinking they like a girl when it turns out to be a ladyboy, and so just avoid the situation altogether.  The ladyboy movement has also always been a media favourite, and so it's something we've become easily conscious of and sadly if you were to ask the average Joe to name three things they think of when you say Thailand, Ladyboys will probably feature quite highly.
