Bryan Singer Teases The X Men: Apocalypse Script; The Four Horsemen Mentioned
While we’re almost 2 years away from the release of the hugely anticipated film, writer-director-producer Bryan Singer has just teased the treatment for ‘X-Men: Apocalypse.’ The film will focus primarily on the returning cast members from ’X-Men: First Class,’ which includes Michael Fassbender’s Magneto, James McAvoy’s Charles Xavier, Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique, and Nicholas Hoult’s Beast, in addition to some younger versions of other mutants like the previously-teased Gambit and Nightcrawler. Gambit’s only big-screen appearance to date was in ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine,’ where he was played by Taylor Kitsch. Nightcrawler was played by Alan Cumming in ‘X2.’ It looks as if Gambit will be played by Channing Tatum in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse.’ -

When I was a kid I used to love the x-men cartoon and gambit was my favourite character, but he was shit in wolverine origins( so was the film) hope his character is alot better in this. -

Must say I am looking forward to this. I have very much enjoyed the recent X-Men movies, First Class and Days of Future Past, not to mention the older ones too. Must admit i haven't got round to watching the two Wolverine movies myself yet though. -

The X-men origins film is absolutely terrible, really shit. The wolverine was decent, but nothing special. Yeah, this one should be good, I think they're gonna try and make this similar to the avengers. -

Hey how's it going can I ask why was prof x still alive in the future when he was dead in the past so how could he still be there to help them contact his younger self but overall I thought it was a decent film. Loved the slow motion kitchen scene -

I dunno maybe because he can manipulate minds, he made everyone believe they saw him die? Yeah that slow mo seen was quality. Don't understand why they sent him home, he was kinda useful. -

AoA was such a huge thing in the comics and it was more than just the X-Men. It's never going to reach the scale of that, which is disappointing.
But Apocalypse in a movie... great. -

They have said the scale of this movie is gonna be huge compared to the other ones and days of future past was pretty big. The said it's gonna have a disaster movie feel to it. -

I seem to remember that at the end of one of the Xmen films (the one when he dies), they massively hint at the end credits that he's taken over someone elses body. How he manages to look like himself again (and inexplicably chooses to be in a wheelchair again) is beyond me -

It's gonna have to pretty epic in scale.
This is just one of those situations where if Marvel had the rights this thing could be out of this world. But because they don't and Fox only have the rights to the X-Men and mutants it's gonna have to cut and change things. Which could be for the better - maybe scaling it down might make it work...
