Here we are then, the final race of the 2013 season, and just as everyone starts to wind down and think of winters spent on Monte Carlo yachts, it could be about to get interesting for the first time in months!
Nico Rosberg was quickest in P1 and P2, not Vettel, Rosberg! Vettel was 2nd in P2 mind, so he's not miles out, but could someone other than the Red Bull man actually be in a position to win a race?
We shall see...

Webber goes quickest in a very wet P3. Vettel's down in 17th, but a few of them didn't even bother going out so we shouldn't read too much in to anything really.
P3 results:

Qualifying gets underway at 4pm this afternoon. -

Took a while, but they eventually got out and qualified.
After some interesting results in the practice sessions it was business as usual when it mattered most...
Vettel took pole.
And here's how they'll line up for the race this evening:

It looks like it will be a dry start to the race this afternoon, the first dry bit they've had this weekend so how the teams have set their cars up will have some impact today...
and even though Seb and Red Bull won their respective Championships ages ago, it's still all to play for today... the cunt Alonso has his 2nd place cemented and Kimi isn't here so it's between Lewis and Mark Webber as to who could take 3rd place - you have to go with Lewis really, but if he goes off or doesn't place then it's a chance for Mark...
and who will get the lucrative 2nd in the Constructors as Mercedes and Ferrari battle it out, again you have to go with Mercedes but Brazil is getting famous for causing 'upsets' so not quite in the bag yet...
Will it rain during the race? Highly likely, as well as seeing the safety car, neither of which is worth betting on as it's crap odds...
With still an hour to go to the off, plenty of time for a raincloud to park over the circuit and spoil the drivers fun, although great for the spectators, on the TV that is as if you're there, you ain't going to see much in the wet... -

9 in a row for Vettel, and he finishes the season a frankly ridiculous 155 points ahead of Alonso in the drivers' standings.
Here's to next season, and someone other than the German maybe winning a race... -

Frankly, I don't get them anymore - Sauber
Last year, they threw away probably the biggest up-and-coming talent - Frijns.
They wanted to prepare Sirotkin for a 2014 race seat. Awfully young, but possibly talented, although with the jury still out on that. That didn't materialize, but he's a test driver now I think?
Now apparently they want to get De Silvestro ready for 2015. A driver that doesn't seem particularly talented, 25 years of age, 4 years of champ cars, one podium, 13th being best ranking at the end of the season. Never won a feeder series.
So... what the hell are they thinking or doing? Saying they want to get De Silvestro ready for a 2015 race seat surely seems to destroy whatever aspirations Sirotkin still had for the seat. Are they going to play this game every year now?
And why De Silvestro, with a curriculum like she has? Just being a woman (OK, a Swiss woman) is enough? Are they that desperate for publicity?
Yes, Susie has company... from seemingly another woman that should not be there based on past performances. I'll wish her luck just like I wish that to anyone but I don't like this at all and I'll not be amused should she get a race seat over much better young drivers.
