  Blade Runner has always been one of those films that seemed to polarise opinions . The original release with the voice over was not well liked and in many quarters got panned for dumbing down.
  When the Blu Ray release came out with the full Directors cut and minus the voice over it seemed to get a rethink and many critics started to hail it as a classic movie.
  
  I will admit that it is one of my favourite films and I loved the vision of what the world does seem to be slowly becoming .

  i loved it when it first came out and didnt care much for the critics they panned it. it hasnt dated that well, but considering when it was made is a true part of cinematic genius! and if anybody hasnt seen it, the really should!

  yea i love blade runner as well, it is an awesome film, i'm not that huge into sci fi and stuff but that film is incredible.
  its true it has not aged well, but for me its really interesting anyway, cuz it just has this feel about it that is very cool. i only ever saw it on dvd without the voice and i love that version

  Blade Runner is a classic sci fi film, one of the seminal sci fi films that has since influenced in some small degree most other sci fi films and even comic films that followed it, (one example, i remember reading that Blade Runner was an influence in Batman Begins)
  Aside from that it`s just a very good film and I think it has held up pretty well i think. plus if anyone considers themself a sci fi fan i think they should watch it at least once.
  Don`t know why there are about 5 different cuts of it though.

  I think the book Do Andriods Dream of Electric Sheep is probably the most brilliant book ever written. The point on it seem to me to be what do we human value. The andriod we can retire but the electric animals and thing we need to protect. As rhe book is soo good the film has got to be a let down IMO, but it is a pretty good film too. Great film better book.
