Black Mirror will be back in just over a week and I cannot wait to see what creators Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones have in store for us.
The upcoming season has been picked up by streaming giant Netflix and as you will see from the trailer, has a much bigger budget and oodles of big American names, such as Bryce Dallas Howard. There will be six episodes in this season including Nosedive - directed by Joe Wright (Atonement).
Nosedive follows Lacie (Bryce Dallas Howard), who believes her value is equivalent to the ratings she receives by those around her. Brooker described the episode as "a satire on acceptance and the image of us we like to portray and project to others."
Brooker also says "Everyone is a little bit heightened and false because everyone's terrified of being marked down because the consequences of that are unpleasant. So it's basically the world we live in."
All six episode of Black Mirror's third season will be available to watch on Netflix from 21 October. That's my night sorted then! -

ok another netflix original i can get into since i have finished all the other series i was watching, looks interesting watching the trailer computers taking over the world is already happening to, should be good -

Not that it's wildly important but Black Mirror is a channel 4 product that Netflix bought up. BUt as you can see from the trailer the netflix budget most certainly seems to added some bells and whistles. I'm glad that it's a 6 episode season this time. I loved the other seasons but 3 episodes was never quite enough. -

This looks like it should be very good. The previous two series were very good, with one of the bleakest christmas episodes of any series i've seen lol. I think the move to Netflix will actually do the show good, i know i read an interview with Charlie Brooker that he liked not having to shorten episodes to make way for breaks. And i think this series has the first feature length episode.
