  The 80's was a brilliant decade for movies like this little gem. The entire movie is pure 80's magic. The story is interesting(as most 80's movies are). The acting is as expected with movies from this decade. Kim Cattrall's acting is hilariously awful throughout. This movie is pure fun.

  Im with you Leifacock, the 80's was a fantastic decade for film and im in agreement with a concerns Big Trouble In Little China. Has got the 80s written all over it and thats no bad thing. The acting, the dialogue, the Humour...loved it. Just hope it doesnt wind up getting remade like so many classics. Coming to a screen near you, a Michael Bay film..Big Trouble In Little China starring Channing Tatum..NNNOOOO (could you imagine it lol).

  Hate to piss on your bonfire mate but a reboot is on the way starring the Rock. Ol' Jack Burton would have something to say about that I'll bet you.

  Strange you should bring this up FantasticMR, i saw an article much to the same effect on a film website the other day. Perhaps i should not have said anything as i appear to have jinxed things. Mention a remake and what happens. Fair play though The Rock has turned out a few decent films so it may not be a total disaster. Its still blasphomy and yeah, Jack Burton would be pissed, i wont be rushing to the cinema to see this though.

  I have seen it only once few years ago and I guess I was too old for this cos I don't remember too much out of it, only the feeling that it was booooooooring. If the Rock is going to star in the remake I might watch it but I would love to see him is some more serious role. I hope that he is done with family movies.

  The Rock could do with broadening his horizons a bit. To say he is becoming a bit type cast is an understatement. Something to teat any seroious acting muscles he may have (as opposed to him just going round, making quips and hitting people...as entertaining as that most of the time is). Its a shame that you didnt enjoy the original moto1045, Kury Russell is a legend.
