This is a quick track by track review of Beyonce's new album. The way each song seamlessly blends into each other is a work of art. I'm really looking forward to the videos that she'll eventually release, and the live performances. I'm sure this will be loved by audiences when these songs are played in various clubs across the world this summer.
I'm That Girl
It's very light and airy, but has a rugged vocal sample running throughout.
Cozy
Very upbeat and vibrant house beat. The lyrics are confident and uplifting.
Alien Superstar
Aggressive and cocky. The different beats for the verses and choruses are really cool.
Cuff It
Disco funk. Feels like something Chic would make that'd get played at Studio54.
Energy
The beat sounds a bit like Amapiano. "Them Karen's just turned into terrorists" is a funny lyric.
Break My Soul
The lead single blends seamlessly into the album, and sounds even more energetic.
Church Girl
Despite it's holy beat and vocals, the "shake them tig ol bitties" lyrics are very sexy.
Plastic Off The Sofa
This has a very sipping a cocktail on a beach during sunset vibe.
Virgo's Groove
The album's longest track takes us on an epic funk voyage.
Move
Energetic and assertive. The production is earthy and the bridge is ethereal.
Heated
Up-tempo with a catchy chorus. Uncle Johnny is who the album is dedicated after.
Thique
Deep bass. Her cadence captures the variations of the various rhythms effortlessly.
All Up In Your Mind
Dark electro. The distorted and fractured vocals give this an eerie tone.
America Has A Problem
It's got a very energetic dystopian future techno feel to it.
Pure/Honey
Glitzy and glamorous house with a Prince vibe underneath.
Summer Renaissance
The Donna Summer and Georgio Moroder sample is exquisite. You sexy motherfucker.
