I found my old gamecube too, yes you remember that ha, and even that was fun!. games like timesplitters 2, tiger woods golf and formula 1 covered a good few genres depending what mood u are in, and i found old games in shops for about a quid a pop, so it is well worth investing a tenner or so in this and having a few more hours entertainment.
My GameCube is in a box under my bed, Pikmin, Mario Kart even Goldeneye was good, can't beat a good bit of Super Monkey Ball tho

super monkey ball is one of them games that i thought i wouldnt like, it seemed so basic and repetitive...but then i played it (at the tender age of 13 or so) and was hooked! never realised how much fun it would be, even the title has 3 words that you know wont let you down....super...monkey...ball!
Goldeneye on the N64 was awesome, mine broke but i still have the gamecube and snes to play. You can play alot of the old games on computer now for free (kind of) and if you have a gamepad to plug in then it is like the real thing. -

Super Nintendo & NES for me. The two best consoles with super fun games, nowadays games are trying to become more real which is killing the fun of what a game should be. I mean a bit of realism is fine but COD every year is very very boring. Timeless classics like mario, punchout, paperboy was the SHIT!
