  Best era for matial arts movies is the 80's, Now before you get your knickers in a twist these were when i started watching!   Kumite, Kumite. Bloodsport..what a classic. One of Van Damme finer pieces of work with a great soundtrack to boot. Covering the same era of Van Damme films, the first Kickboxer fim deserves a mention. Another classic 80s martial arts flick (again with a great soundtrack).

  I need to get around to checking out Ip Man 1 and 2, solelover. No preconceptions of the films but have just, to thid point, sort of let them pass me by. I also really enjoyed The Raid. I have seen The Raid 2 as well. You would think its considerable run time for a movie of that nature would hurt it but that couldnt be further from the truth. It may be ever so slightly more involved, story wise, than the firsrt movie but it works + the action, once again, is fantastic.

  Coming back to an earlier post with me considering visiting ip man parts 1 and 2, i still havnt gotten around to those. However, i did download 'ip man 3' the other day and watched it last night. My verdict : a fantastic martial arts film and film in its own right. A simple enough story with some top drawer  martial arts from Donnie and co. Mike Tyson needs to check his acting ability at the door, however, once he gets involved in what he does best, fatastic. The films approx hour and three quarter runtiime flew by. Highly recommended (really need to get on those first 2 movies now).
