So it was not long ago announced that the sequel to
Man of Steel will include Batman and so far has the title Batman vs Superman (I'm thinking it's probably a working title and not permanent since that would be the shortest fight ever), with Ben Affleck as Batman. Oh and there are rumours of Nightwing being included.
Personally I am not keen on the idea of Affleck as Batman, his last attempt at playing a comic character wasn't what you'd call outstanding, but I suppose he may surprise. I wasn't the biggest fan of Man of steel which gives me doubts on whether I'll like it's sequel (found the first one a bit too dour).
Thoughts/opinions on this? -

man of steel was okay, nothing special, but then i'm not attached to these movies too much. like i never have a thought along the lines of "i love superman so i hope they get this movie right cuz it'll be such a shame/waste if they don't"
whenever this movie comes out i will watch it. ben afflect as batman prolly won't work too well imo. can't explain it, he's not a bad actor, just doesn't seem very batmanny lol -

Well I'm a big comic fan generally but Superman has never been a character I've found that interesting, my interest for the sequel is mostly in how they'll use Batman in this.
Affleck has to be fair grown as an actor since Daredevil but he's still not the greatest actor and is hardly the first person that comes to mind when I think of who would make a good Batman. The rumours of other characters appearing too seems very much just characters forced in because Avengers did well as a team up film. -

I loved the latest Batman trilogy, and really enjoyed Man of Steel as well (despite not being much of a Superman fan). I also love Ben Affleck, despite all his shortcomings as an actor, but this is just screaming TURKEY at me for some reason.
I really hope I'm wrong though. -

Ben Affleck doesn't seem like the best casting for me, he isn't a terrible actor (he was good in 'The Town') but from all the many actors they could have chosen for the part he is not the best fit. I think more worryingly is the rumours of so many other DC character's having cameos, if true it seems like rushing characters together because Avengers was popular (which worked because they built it up and got it together gradually as opposed to just pushing them all together quickly).
I really hope I'm wrong though. -

im sorry but ben affleck as batman is going to suck big time i just dont see him as batman and this whole batman vs superman is stupid seruoisly stupid and im not sure ill pay to watch it -

Ruudy it's not easy to be positive about this is it, Affleck is hardly the ideal casting for Batman, i wouldn't want to see Bale back though as it's not in the same continuity as the last films and the same actor would make that confusing.
And aside from the cramming characters into the film thing, the casting so far has been dodgy altogether, they've cast Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor now
@Bickers32 yeah the concept is stupid, the near invulnerable, superstrong hero faces no fight in Batman, and if it's a red herring and they aren't gonna really fight but work together then it's a similar problem, why would he need Batmans help at all?
To be honest the entire idea just seems like they want to cash in on the Avengers success, the logic being that was a team up and made a record amount so doing similar just out of nowhere will have the same effect on the box office. -

Still need to get my arse into gear and watch the both of them. Only seen the most recent Batman film and i thought it was really rather good. Superman has never appealed to me but have had a few people say it exceeds expectations. -

Superman in man of steel was good but the dark knight saga directed by Christopher Nolan haven't rivals. It was three films very very amazing and beautiful.I recommend all these film to all!! ;)
