  This might be a couple of years old now but, after rewatching both parts 1 and 2 of this this weekend, it confirmed why i love these movies so much. These are by far (for me) my favourite Batman animations (and are superior to a couple of the live action ones as well). Has anyone else seen these? What did you think? I cannot recommend these enough. If you have not seen them you dont know what you are missing. Based on the  comic books of Frank Miller, also boasting a fantastic soundtrack. I cannot elieve, to the best of my knowledge, that these have never appeared on television. Unbelievable.

  I am a really huge fan of batman and love all of the films, whether they be animated or not. These films however though i have not got round to watching yet but my friend also says that these are really good films. My favourite batman animated movie is probably 'Under the Red Hood' this film is just top notch for me. i would highly recommend that film.

  Hey Coop. Blimey, its been a long while since i watched 'Under the Red Hood'. So long infact i think its ripe for a rewatch. I can recall the basics and can recall not hating it but beyond that..mate, seriously, you need to make it your mission to watch these dark knight returns movies. Cannot praise them enough.

  i do really need to watch them, i think some time soon i am just gonna sit down and watch all of the batman films out there animated and live action. Also wouldnt mind watching the animated series again as that was really good as well.

  Which Batman animated series are you refering to? Setting aside a weekend to watch everything in the collection Batman related..think i may have to do that (possibly not Batman & Robin, couldnt bring myself to watch that again). I suggest starting your bumper Batman viwing with, unsuprisingly, The Dark Knight Returns 1 & 2. Start proper dark, gotta be done.

  i was referring to the 1990s animated series as it was really good. It brought a darker sort of sense to batman compared the 60s live action show. Some of the other animated series that came after were pretty good as well.

  I watched Batman: TAS from the 90's but I have never gotten round to watching any of the DC animated films.
  I've heard lots of good things about lots of them so I feel like I need to start off by giving this a watch and then branch out from there.

  You are in the enviable position of never watchinng any of the DC animated movies and having a bumper catalogue to choose from, thisscotsman. Cant promise they are all classics, some are far from it, but there are several right treasures in there. I do vaguely recall the 90s series, Coop. By default, the series would have to have been darker than the 60s live action series, that, while enjoyable enough and a classic series by all accounts, was pretty easy going.
