  I wasn't a massive fan of the first film but I loved Cameron's previous films like Aliens and the two Terminator films. So my expectations were pretty low prior to watching this but I found this to be relatively entertaining. The underlying themes of environmentalism and colonialism were good. I liked how the water tribe were based on Pacific Island culture, in a similar way to how in the first film the Navi were based on Native Americans. The visuals were stellar, as were the motion capture performances. Lang was the best thing about the first film so it was good to see him return as the antagonist. It'll be interesting to see what happens with Weaver's character in the next three films. The first act picks up the threads from the first film and fills in what has happened since. The second act introduces a new part of the world and the third act is where Cameron shows his strength as a director.

  it was good, but would hardly say its something im gonna go back and re-watch, i genuinely hope this isnt the re-birth of movies in 3D, so overrated. i think this films are too long 2 hours is the sweet spot,

  A very quick move to Home Premier for this movie and I can’t say I’m in a rush to pay the £15 rental price tag. I’ll wait for it to come on to regular rental price or even bop onto to NowTV. I’m sure it will be absolutely fine but nothing I’m looking forward to.
