  The critically acclaimed and award winning Atlanta has been one of the best TV shows in recent years, and now they've released the third season. The comedy-drama is centred around Earn (Donald Glover), who is in a relationship with Van (Zazie Beetz) and he is also the manager of his cousin Alfred (Bryan Tyree Henry) aka the up and coming rapper Paper Boi. They're also joined on this surreal journey through the music industry and life, by Darius (Lakeith Stanfield), who is Paper Boi's best friend. Season three is focused on Paper Boi's European tour, and the culture shock the quartet experience during this period of time outside of America.

  Episode one - This is loosely based on a real life story and it was quite harrowing in parts. Thankfully it ends on a lighter note.
  Episode two - Sees the core quartet navigate part of Paper Boi's European tour in Holland as they encounter some weird cultural norms.
  Episode three - A business opportunity arises for Earn in London, so they all go out to a party.
  Episode four - In a bit of a what if? storyline. We see what the world could be like from the point of view of a nobody.

  Episode five
  
  We're back with Earn as he manages Paper Boi's show in Budapest. Darius is there as always, looking to got a on mystery tour of the venue. Van isn't with them, but Socks from London has joined the tour. The show goes well, and Paper Boi meets a fan backstage from the Make A Wish Foundation. But after the show things take a turn for the worse, and Earn and Paper Boi have to play good cop bad cop. The twist at the end of the episode was really good. It was really funny when they talked about going to a strip club, and they said instead of an American stripper saying make it rain, strippers in Europe say sprinkle me my lord.

  Episode six
  
  Another great episode. Switching the focus to Paper Boi's struggle to deal with corporations was a brilliant idea. The commodification of his authenticity is a theme that has been prevalent within the capitalisation of urban culture. Especially given the missteps some companies make and their efforts to publicly rectify their ways. The subplots involving Darius, Van and Earn were brilliant too. I especially loved how Darius' subplot slightly mirrored Paper Boi's in a sense of how something cool was made more palatable so that it could be more profitable. Donald Glover is very smart and very talented.

  Episode seven
  
  This was another one of the anthology episodes that doesn't feature the main cast. It was an interesting insight into how cultures mix and interact. The approach how different people mourn was good to see. But also seeing how different people are brought up as children can positively impact their life and be more inclusive and empathic to different cultures was really nice.

  Episode eight
  
  We were back with the crew on their European tour. This time we're mostly with Paper Boi in Amsterdam. I was really surreal in how he encountered various toes of his fans and how he interacted with them differently. It was introspective in the sense of how Paper Boi re-evaluated some of his relationships.

  Episode nine
  
  This was another anthology episode that explored identity, how society views individuals and how individuals view themselves. It had so many layers. The approach of looking at it from a teenager was genius, and how they can come of age dependant on their upbringing and things outside of their control.
  
  Episode ten
  
  We finally get an episode centred on Van and her adventures in Europe. Seeing what she's been up to whilst Earn, Paper Boi and Darius have been on tour was really good. I loved how she had her own little adventure with her friends from Atlanta. It was interesting to see why they were in Paris, and why Van was doing what she did. I can't wait for season four. This might be my favourite season of the series so far, and there are so many themes within it that could be studied on an academic level and delved into further.

  This is the trailer for the fourth and final season of Atlanta. After the events of Paper Boi's European tour, it looks like the gang are back in America. Earn appears to be going to therapy and working on rebuilding his relationship with Van. The stresses of the music industry are still effecting Paper Boi. I'm excited to see Katt Williams and Isiah Whitlock junior's return.

  Episode one
  Darius tries to return an airfryer to the store, but he ends up being pursued by a unrelenting presence. Paper Boi get stuck in traffic but due to listening to a song he ends up going on a scavenger hunt due to the lyrics in the song. Van and Earn go to the mall and end up bumping into all of their exes. As they try to leave they can find their car and fortunately end up somewhere else.
  
  Episode two
  Earn visits his therapist and talks about his time in university and his past traumas. There is also a subplot about an aspiring children's book author and the process of her trying to obtain a major book deal.
