  Geoffrey's the boy though as you say. My Sky box packed up the other year, so I had to listen to the Radio 5 Live Sports Xtra or whatever the channel is called on freeview!!! and it/he was really brilliant, he calls a spade a spade, and it's engrossing for the listener.
  I was still glad to get the box changed and actually see it though...

  Yeah, I haven't had Sky Sports for a few years now through a combination of not being able to afford it and also I find their presentation a bit OTT for many sports. I don't miss it with cricket as TMS is superb and I pick up highlights wherever they may be. Michael Vaughan is also great value on there, comes across as a top fella and doesn't state the obvious either, they also have Glenn McGrath for the Ashes who is surprisingly good too.

  Only 3 more to go and this may be a match after all... Siddle can be a thorn in the side, but lately his wicket has gone cheaply, so lets hope the English bowlers don't go and get all 'excited' again and start bowling loads of short balls... Line and length chaps, line and length....
  Oh, and they just showed the temperature on the scoreboard thingy they have, it showed 40.5 degrees.... damn hot, send a few degrees over here lads, we'll be mighty grateful for them...
  
  Hang on, there's a sound like an inside edge as Smith dabs at a ball from Anderson, the on field umpire says not out but there is a slight mark on hot spot, and snicko also suggests it is a hit... Yep that's another wicket and Anderson's first, Smith c Prior b Anderson 111 (Aus 338-8), 12 runs added and 2 wickets in the first 20 odd minutes.. 2 more lads, just 2 more to get... Harris and Siddle now at the crease...
  
  An edge from Harris goes flying past the outstretched hands of slip and not for the first time today, just get someone else in there, England would be off the field by now if they had, and getting ready to bat themselves.... oh the beauty of hindsight...
  A shout for out as it seems Harris is caught, but replays show it was off front, then back pads, and missed the bat...
  There's still a gap between slip and gully, and there goes another edge for 4, WTF England, get a fuckin 4th slip in there you retards!!!!!
  
  So what happens, they take gully away, and a chance goes flying through there.... Here he comes back in. I don't know where Cook's head is this morning, or the bowlers. Do they really want to take these last 2 wickets???
  Yay, at last another chance and gully is still there this time to take it, as Harris fails to make another sizable contribution... Harris c Root b Anderson 12 (Aus 354-9). It's still roughly par score at the moment, finish it off now and England can be relatively happy this morning... That is until we start to bat and probably fuck it up big time...
  
  
  At last... Brezzie gets his first wicket as he gets Siddle to edge it to the keeper, Siddle c Prior b Bresnan 21 , which means AUSTRALIA 385 all out from 103.3 overs... That's easily 30 or so runs that shouldn't have been scored and 40 minutes where England should already be batting.. Poor Captaincy and field placement for me this morning, and if you look at the Aussie scorecard you won't find a single duck, in fact there is only 1 in single figures.... How many 0's do you think will litter the English card???
  
  Also, they now need to remember how the ball has been finding the edges this morning. I'm damn sure Mitchell Johnson has been noticing, and he'll be licking his lips to get stuck in early...
  
  and they showed the Weatherwall again, it's now 42.8 degrees... Sweaty crotch time...

  The Aussies all out for 385 and England end day two 180-4.

  Last 6 wickets went for 61 runs. England all out for 251.
  
  Then all too easy for the Aussies in their second innings, they end day three 235-3, a lead of 369.
  
  And Broad's injured his foot.
  
  Terrible day, Ashes gone.

  An hour left today and we're currently 203-4. So a 5th day's play is looking likely, not that I'd want to put money on it...

  Bell's gone for 60, caught behind by Haddin after a faint edge. Bowled by Siddle.
  
  England 220-5 with around half an hour's play left. Don't collapse!

  They didn't! 251-5 at the close of play and this could turn out to be our best innings of the series. The emergence of Stokes is a positive too.
  
  Still need to either score another 253 or see out the entirety of the 5th day though, neither of which are particularly likely outcomes.
  
  I'd consider batting past lunch a success really.

  and don't forget Broad has a dodgy foot, so even though they said he will bat, he's not going to do much as he can't have a runner...
  At least they will better their 1st innings total, some small consolation, and may even break the 300 barrier, but with some fresh bowling in the morning, there's bound to be a couple of wickets and then it's a matter of time.
  
  Day 3 said it all really, England were unceremoniously dumped as they capitulated all too easily, then on the exact same pitch, the Aussies blasted off and Warner was an animal hitting it here, there, and everywhere...
  
  There's been lots said about it, it's still hard to comprehend how they have gone from a class act (and I'm not really counting the summer here, as they could have easily lost that too, but for some luck and poor batting from the Aussies) to this band of meandering stinkers is quite hard to digest. They've shown ability, as we know they have it, but the will and the wherefore seems to be eluding them.
  
  It's not just the players either, but WTF are the back room staff doing, the bowling coach comes out and says we made a mistake, well you've seemed to make quite a few actually, and it's not because you don't know how to win, as you've done that plenty, so again WTF is going on... Stale ideas?, move on with the times men. Sticking with a player or even two through a tough time is ok, but you are sticking with a band who's having a tough time, you've got other resources but seem reluctant to utilise them, and in all honesty, they couldn't really be doing any worse could they???
  
  Shall we say that about by 6am in the morning our time, that the Ashes will be officially lost..... I'll give our lot some credit to hold out a little bit longer than lunch...
