I hope he has the balls, there's only an hour or so left, the bowlers can't be that tired, they've only been out there for 53.3 overs!!!

Cocksuckers.... Mind I suppose England do need the batting practice, and this way, they'll at least extend the game a bit more for the paying public, but I wish they had that killer streak, put the Bruce's back in and see them squirm some more... I despair... -

Wasn't Joe Root a lucky boy, edging one and see it go clean through (at catching height) between the keeper and first slip. To be fair Haddin sells a dummy at going for it, and this seems to put Clarke off, but that about sums up Australia's day today, and if that look that Clarke shot to Haddin was anything to go by, he's not amused...
Still nervous going by the opening pair, 21-0 off 8 overs so far, a couple of half centuries please boys... -

31-3 at close of play, that should make Michael Clarke a bit happier, but it was a carbon copy of the first innings with the 3 quick wickets. Peter Siddle must be fancying his chances of another 5 for.
Tim Bresnan on a night watchman? why not, at least they'll have 2 proper batters now for the morning's play.
16 wickets fell in the day, what does that say about the pitch, and the batting??? But another enjoyable day's cricket, who said Test Matches were boring !!! -

So what did people think about the Aussies yesterday? Here's one from each side...
Australian cricket columnist Greg Baum was angered by his country's capitulation with the bat. Writing in The Age, he said: "Of Australia's many collapses in recent times - including its 47 in Cape Town two years ago - this was the most slapstick. Flash followed upon swipe, upon prod, upon bungled referral, upon panicky run-out. England scarcely had to do more than introduce the ball to play,"
Writing in the Daily Mail, former England captain Nasser Hussain says Australia need to pick players on character rather than talent as he labelled the tourists as "awful".
"I don't care if you're not Ricky Ponting or Matthew Hayden or Mike Hussey," said Hussain. "Any Test player should be able to knuckle down and show responsibility.
"When the camera focused on Darren Lehmann on the Aussie balcony, he was smiling grimly. I don't blame him. In situations like that, you don't know whether to laugh or cry."
And it goes on and on like this, even Chris Rogers got some blame for not using the DRS when he walked and it showed he was not out from that bbw by Swann... There's even mention of bringing in some players who are currently in Zimbabwe (where David Warner has been banished to), as they may be in better form than the current bunch? That seems a bit desperate, surely, this side is their best side, otherwise WTF are the selectors doing?
Still, it's given good headlines and bylines for the papers. What matters though is on the pitch, and I forsee another exciting day, I'm not going to mention anything, just in case I hex it up again...
