Unai Emery set to be appointed new Arsenal manager replacing Arsene Wenger

Arsenal are set to appoint Unai Emery as their new manager.
Manchester City assistant manager and former Gunners captain Mikel Arteta was strong favourite to succeed Arsene Wenger.
Emery emerged as the unanimous choice following a recruitment process in which all candidates were spoken to.
The 46-year-old Spaniard is available after leaving Paris St-Germain where he won one Ligue 1 title and four domestic cups in two seasons in charge.
Previously he guided Sevilla to three consecutive Europa League triumphs between 2014 and 2016.

I was warming to the idea of Arteta (not that it overly affects me, like) but this probably makes more sense.

Reckon he could do with a bit more than £50m to spend though?  Especially after becoming accustomed to those sweet, sweet PSG transfer budgets.

Santi Cazorla to leave Arsenal this summer at end of contract

Midfielder Santi Cazorla will leave Arsenal this summer when his contract ends, the club have announced.
The Spaniard, 33, has made 180 appearance for the Gunners since joining from Malaga in 2012.
But he has not played for the Premier League club since October 2016 because of a serious Achilles tendon injury.
Cazorla has two FA Cup winners' medals from his time with Arsenal and scored in their 3-2 cup final win over Hull at Wembley in 2014.

That will pay for a whole new team Biggrin In no more wages to pay him .

Cool Patrick Vieira: Former Arsenal captain appointed Nice manager after leaving New York City

Former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira has been appointed as the new manager of French Ligue 1 side Nice.
The ex-Manchester City, Inter Milan and Juventus midfielder was in his third season as head coach of New York City.
The 41-year-old had been tipped to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal before the appointment of Unai Emery.
"Leaving New York is an incredibly difficult decision for me and my family and one that has not been taken lightly," said Vieira.
Nice finished eighth in Ligue 1 last season, missing out on a Europa League place by one point.
Vieira takes over from Lucien Favre, who was appointed Borussia Dortmund coach in May.
Assistant coach Christian Lattanzio, performance coach Kristian Wilson and physical performance coach Matt Cook have also left New York to join Vieira at Nice.
World Cup winner Vieira retired at Manchester City aged 35 in 2011 and was named a football development executive with the Premier League club.
In 2015, Vieira left his role as head coach of Manchester City's Under-21s after signing a three-year contract with New York City.

He is still one of us Biggrin .Good luck Pat.
