RE: Arkham City

I think the problem is a new type of gamer has arisen out of xbox live's flawless service. It's people who don't much like playing single player games, stoyry is of little importance to them, they only like the ultra competative world of multiplayer gaming. Now for me it's a nice bonus, and a good thing to play post completion when a game has multiplayer but for these people the only reason to get the game is to play the multiplayer, and if they feel like it they will knock out the story mode at some point. I think this is a shame as call of duty was once a fantastic single player experience, but as its become apparent that this fan base is now their bread and butter, it's all about the online and they tack on 6 hour single player campaigns which, while enjoyable are becoming more and more lazy and rediculous in their plot and just don't feel at all original in terms of gameplay because they release one every year! It's for these reasons that I only buy them when they are about £20. Rant over.
