  Watched a documentary on BBC1 the other night 'Imagine, Don McCullin' He was a photo journalist for the Times for many years and covered war and famine all over the world, until Rupert Murdock took over at the Times and got rid of him! the programme has many disturbing pics and he recounts some of the most horiffic/heartbraking tales of the things hes witnessed, the guy must be haunted by the worst of nightmares , its available on BBC iplayer now, I suggest you watch it if you dare!

  Why on earth did you draw my attention to this? I have to watch it but know I'm going to be in the worst mood for the rest of the day after. All the pics you posted are really horrific but that 2nd one, there are no words.

  FMR as you say all the pics are horrific and the dead childs eyes will stay with me for a long time! but you need to hear what he has to say, it WILL! affect you, but that's the whole point, that's why you should watch, everyone should watch, it should be on the curriculum in secondary schools, people should be horrified its the only way to bring across the truth about war! the more people who see that childs eyes the less likely it is to happen again!

  I have seen the work of Don McCullin many times and as a photographer there are few that get anywhere near him. I believe his photographs go far beyond a simple record of a happening. They are works of immense tenderness, sensitivity and humanity. Yes, I know they are often gory and deal with truly horrible subjects, but somehow McCullin produces work that deals with the people rather than the event.
  
  I think his work is wonderful.

  Your quite right Bob his work is brilliant! If a picture paints a thousand words etc, and all in glorious grainy black n white.
