Jason Mamoa is back, after the billion dollar success of the first film, and James Wan builds upon it's story with the return of Patrick Wilson and Yahya Abdul Mateen II. Nicole Kidman and Temura Morrison also are back in supporting roles. Visually it still looks as insane as the first one too, so Warner Brothers are probably confident that it'll be just as financially successful.

I didn't expect it to be outstanding but it was actually pretty decent. Wan leaned into his horror roots with some really creative elements. Mamoa did what he always does, and the supporting cast of Mateen II, Park, Kidman, Heard, Lungren and Morrison all did what they needed to do. Some of the CGI was ropey but I really liked the production design. RIP to the DCEU and long live the DCU.

It’s time to get Honest, I’d say this is the death of the DCEU but that was long ago.
