Anyone into guitars? I recently sold a 1979 Epiphone Casino, Cherry with Bigsby, got £600 for it, great guitar but wanted something a bit smaller to sit on the couch n play, got an Ibanez S770 but only kept it a couple of weeks the whammy was a bit creaky, the one I played in the shop was great but got one mail order to save money and ended up sending it back.
Bought the Micheal Kelly Patriot {top picture} great little guitar and feels/plays as good as it looks, then got nostalgic for my old Epiphone and got a 1996 Sheraton fkin beautiful guitar.
What have you got, what was your first, and what would you get?

Fuck me SweatyNads, the only small thing you play with on the couch has got one eye, weeps all the way through the last scene, and I can guarantee you will never get a tune out of it.

The Michael Kelly Looks Very Pleaing To The Eye , How Does It Sound ?
Well To Ans Your 1st Q , I Started With An Simple Ecoustic Guitar Back In The Day - A Spanish Standard ,
But Electric Was The Way To Go After Hearing The Famously Talented "Jimi Hendrix" And "Santana" At Woodstock 69.
Both Could Make It "Talk Sweet Nothing's To You" , So There Was No Turning Back.
I Found Out At The Time That "Gibson And Les Paul" Were Bringing Out A New Model In 70's ,
So I Waited , Untill 1971 After A Few Set Backs Of Theres, It Arrived On The Scene.
It Became To Be Known As The " Recording Model " Gibson/Les Paul 1971, Two 45 Degree Pick Ups That Were Of Such Low Impedance , That They Produce An Incredible Clear Sound , Simply Breath Taking , So I Put Some Money Down To Reserve One And A Month Or So Later It Was All Mine ,lol, "I Was The Envy Of Myself" , lol , That Started My "Love Trip" With Electric Guitars And Has Continued Ever Since, Thanks For Posting This Thread , I Consider It To Be One Of The Finest Threads To Date On This Site , But Obviously " Esmereldas Threads Are A Whole Lot More Appealing " ,lmao

The " Gibson l5 54 Telecaster " Or The Infamous EF 8510 - 1954 Fender Stratocaster "The First Production Stratocaster"
EF8510 Is Worth Well Over £200,000 , For Sure ,
Or The " Burns Gibson GB 66 " With It's Twangy Pick Ups , This One I Have Had The Pleasure Of Playing For A Whole Evenings Gig.

Im risking antagonising the Briss but the Michael Kelly sounds great on the couch! excellent sustain even when not plugged in, ive got rid of all my gigging gear now, just got a VOX mini 5 but its a good little amp and well loud enough to just jam on in the house.
Have you still got your 71 L P? must be worth a small fortune by now!
When you say you played your m8s GB66 for a gig are you still gigging? what kinda stuff do you do?
Your choice of Santana on Woodstock is spot on, I love Santana myself used to get the Latina girls to dance to Black Magic Woman, Samba Pa Ti and a couple off Supernatural but Soul Sacrifice on Woodstock was fantastic, the percussion was amazing!
But for me Crosby Stills & Nash, Judy Blue Eyes was the highlight.
