To do that against Man City as well, at the Etihad, with the goal actually contributing towards a win - not just some consolation in an absolute spanking - incredible!

And as we all know City would never truly recover from the setback, finishing the 2018/19 season with a disappointing haul of just 3 trophies.

Great goal and good for him. I remember when Townsend was at Tottenham and then started playing for England. Touted as a future England legend and then just sunk without a trace really.
